How BBQ and Sweet Tea Radically Changed My Life...

Okay here’s the truth:

I didn’t start my Amazon business the way the gurus say you should.

I didn’t take a course.
I didn’t watch hours of YouTube videos.
I didn’t even choose my first product.

Someone else did.

Yep.

I sat down at a BBQ restaurant with a friend-of-a-friend named Chris, told him I was miserable working 60 hours a week and had heard he was doing this “Amazon thing”. I was burned out, desperate for something different and wanted to know more.

And he said:

“Well… I found this product idea last night. How about you launch it on Amazon — I’ll help you get it selling.”

That lunch turned into dinner…

Literally. Five hours, many sweet tea refills, and a pile of questions later…

I was all in.

But the product wasn’t the most important part.  It’s what happened next.

Every time I got stuck, I called Chris…..
When I didn’t know what to message suppliers — I called Chris…..
When I needed help with good keywords — I called Chris….
When I doubted myself — I called Chris….

Eventually, I didn’t need to call him anymore…

Because he didn’t just do it for me — he taught me how to think like a seller.

And now, that’s what I want to do for you.

THE FOUNDERS

I'm Cabel Mcelderry

– Coach, Operator, Builder, Dad

In 2015, Cabel was running operations for a fast-growing fitness franchise, flying back and forth between California and Canada. On the outside? It looked like he had it all.

But inside?

Burned out.

Disconnected.

Missing his wife, missing his health, missing life.

So he quit.

Moved back to Canada. Sold his California home.
And started looking for what was next.

That’s when he discovered Amazon.

Then He Paid $36,000 for a Coaching Program That Got Shut Down By the FTC…

(Yes, really.)


They promised coaching. He got a couple calls.

Then — boom.

The company was shut down.

No refund. No brand. No roadmap. Zilch.

But like most real entrepreneurs, Cabel kept going….

He launched products anyway…
Learned how to negotiate with suppliers….
Sold wholesale, built a bankroll, then moved to private labeling his own brand.
And in 2016, when his wife gave birth to their miracle son — he sold his gyms and never looked back.

“I didn’t want to miss a moment. Amazon gave me that freedom.”

From Getting Burned… to Building Better

Eventually, Cabel met Garrett.

They saw errors in the coaching world and realized that new sellers didn’t need coaching and didn’t need a “course”… they needed someone to do it for them.

To build their confidence….

To make sure it was done right the First Time….

With this in mind, we decided to step out on our own and formed Seller Tactics… The rest is history….
